"A thrilling and imaginative novel that is sure to capture the reader's attention."
An exciting fast-paced tale of two young people taken from Earth. Dealing with the drama of being abducted, with just the right amount of comedy. Black holes, Mars, people on Earth stranded in time freezing anomalies, and sausage and egg muffins.
Wayne M. Bailey is a Walsall based author and has published his debut science fiction novel The Mars Migration. The story is actually set in the area in which Wayne lives, as well as the wider West Midlands area and parts of Shropshire, as well as Manitoba, Canada.
The Mars Migration.
Born and raised in Walsall, England, Wayne works in the construction industry, on the sales and estimating side. During his youth, Wayne's fascination with the unknown was sparked when he witnessed a UFO in his hometown, also learning about his father's own UFO experience - barely two streets away. This, coupled with being a science fiction movie nut - growing up in the eighties with the amazing selection of films that we did - provided the inspiration for creating a science fiction work of his own.
Wayne is an engaging author who loves to interact with interested people on social media. He loves to read about the latest UFO/UAP reports and space in general. He loves his family, an ale, and of course holidays. He particularly loves the South west of England, Cornwall and South Devon, and all parts of Wales.
Wayne's main objective is that people simply enjoy the story that he has to tell.
Three years of work went into writing The Mars Migration. The process involved many sleepless nights, research and rewriting, both at home and local pubs or coffee shops.
Wayne found himself writing in lunch breaks, or his local Starbucks and Wetherspoons. Often waking up in the night, or pulling over at the side of a road to make a random note on his phone, a simple reminder, or to make changes to a paragraph.
Writing a book literally takes over your life for a long period of time. Some writers can spend ten, even twenty years working on a single book. Even when the book is written, the work has barely begun. Marketing is an art-from in itself which every author needs to learn.
Thankfully all of the effort has paid off. Wayne now has a novel, sold in countries around the world to his name.
Wayne will now spend his time speaking to bookshops, promoting the novel and thinking about starting a second.
Two huge anomalies have been suddenly erected on the Earth’s surface, one in Canada and one in the UK.
Everything and everyone beneath these anomalies are frozen - paused in time, with no access in or out of these areas – which are over a thousand square miles each.
Governments of the world are scrambling to find out who or what could be responsible for something like this. The effects of them are being closely observed and tested.
Meanwhile inside these “bubbles,” one young woman in Canada and one young man in the UK, are seemingly the only ones unaffected by the time-pausing effects. When they seek to investigate a strange object - which seems to be responsible for these anomalies - they are torn away from their homes and taken to a strange, dark system of worlds beyond a black hole.
Told they will not be returned home due to the energy required, another of the factions who are at war with their captors, reaches out to offer a helping hand in return for a favor.
Can this new faction help Amber and Daniel to get home? And at the same time gain access to Mars in the past? Desperate to get their people back into the light space, they must help Amber and Daniel to get back and free their loved ones at any cost.
