"Read all About it!"

An exciting fast-paced tale of two young people taken from Earth. Dealing with the drama of being abducted, with just the right amount of comedy. Black holes, Mars, people on Earth stranded in time freezing anomalies, and sausage and egg muffins.

Born of random thoughts

Wayne M. Bailey is a Walsall based author and has published his debut science fiction novel The Mars Migration. The story is actually set in the area in which Wayne lives, as well as the wider West Midlands area and parts of Shropshire, as well as Manitoba, Canada.

~

Born and raised in Walsall, England, Wayne spends his days working in the construction industry.

During his youth, Wayne's fascination with the unknown was sparked when he witnessed a UFO in his hometown, also learning about his father's own UFO experience - barely two streets away. This, coupled with being a science fiction movie nut - growing up in the eighties with the amazing selection of films that we did - provided the inspiration for creating a science fiction work of his own.

Wayne is an engaging author who loves to interact with interested people on social media. He loves to read about the latest UFO/UAP reports and space in general.

He is a family, a lover of ale, and of course holidays.

He particularly enjoys the South west of England, Cornwall and South Devon, and all parts of Wales.

Wayne's main objective is that people simply enjoy the story that he has to tell.

The Process

Three years of work went into writing The Mars Migration.

Beginning as a simple idea, born from a wish to see another UFO, ideally in his back garden. Wayne dreamed of craft arriving, and what effects this could have on his life and local area.

"Once I started to write, the story just came blurting out. Almost as if it was already there!" Wayne recalls.

The process of writing involved many sleepless nights, research, and rewrites. Pulling out the laptop at home, and in local pubs or coffee shops.

Wayne found himself writing in lunch breaks, or Sunday mornings at his local Starbucks or Wetherspoons. (Rest in peace Willenhall Wetherspoons).

Often Wayne would wake up in the middle of the night, or needing to pull over at the side of a road, just to make a note on his phone after a sudden idea would pop in.

Writing a book completely takes over ones life for a long period of time. Some writers can spend five, ten, even twenty years working on a single story.

Even when the book is written, the work has barely begun. Marketing is another art-from in itself which every indie author needs to spend time mastering.

Thankfully all of the effort has paid off. Wayne now has a novel, sold in countries around the world to his name. Has spoken to BBC WM radio about seeing a UFO and his book. Also having an article about his book published in local newspaper, The Express & Star.

Wayne will now spend his time speaking to bookshops, promoting the novel and thinking about starting a second.

Express & Star NEwspaper features - The Mars Migration

Wayne was very honoured when his local newspaper came calling about featuring the book in their newspaper, where Wayne discusses his inspirations and hopes for the book.
